I shall cross digits and dangly appendages and henceforth hope you give cancer a swift and painless invitation to fuck right off. And whilst I'm at it, I hereby declare Exciter to be a crepuscular, sleek, pulsing and glorious creation.
Consider yourself bookmarked and the recipient of positive vibes.

I want to let you know that you can get through this with that wonderful sense of humor. My daughter's father had cancer, stage 2b. I was his caregiver throughout ... every trip to the hospital ... every meal prepared ... every ct scan ... and by his side every time he had to drink that nasty drink before being scanned. (I feel for you, cause that stuff alone is scary. ;))
You will be stronger because of it. Hang in there, and kick cancer's ass!

Oh, by the way, he has been cancer-free for 4 years now!
Dear Gareth,
beside my warmest wishes for recovery let me share with you the feeling of getting through such an experience: complete change of viewing everything. It's going to be alright and you will get new ideas for your future work.

Hi Gareth. what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.. I wish your disease period will be all of fun. you are such a nice guy. you have tons of friends. this is good for you. you are not alone!!.. Also I'm a fan of your work. Exciter & Black Celebration. and others. very nice!.
Hello Gareth,
I read about your healh condition on HOME and went quickly to see how you're doing. Read all the posts and saw that you have been doing several treatments. I'm a nurse and I know how it is dificult all these treatments and dealing with the cancer. I think You're doing fine with all those complementary therapies and group suports. It helps you to stay positive, which is very necessary through the up's and down's of the disease. Nowadays it is more usual to see people get over it and continue their life, so "kick cancer's ass"!
In Portugal, there is a person who had several cancers (I think 7) in his head and he got over it and is still alive. "Nothing is impossible when the soul is big".
Don't stop posting.
Greetings from Portugal.
Hey there Gareth - I'm all the more embarrassed about the bottomless banality of what I'm just about to write, than I'm writing it to someone who's been constantly out there breaking new ground, and coming up with some of the most incredibly original musical statements of their time (yes, that would be you). But I can't think of anything I mean more right now than to say, I hope and trust you will kick seven shades of shite out of this thing and get back to the studio - where we need you. You've always been a true inspiration and one of the few people whose work (alongside that of Dan Miller, Alan Wilder, Kraftwerk and Bowie / Eno) got me to take the step from obsessing over other people's music, to making a little of my own. I can never thank you enough for the worlds of sound I've discovered thanks to you, so again I'll just wish you the best. (Great blog, too. Can we expect a Metalmix ?)

Hey Gareth, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Thanks for the wonderful music over the years.
